Educating / Guiding / Mentoring

While writing is my major service area, I also have presented at academic conferences, launched a tour company in Paris, and taught at some of the world’s top universities.

Whether it’s working with young writers or leading groups through a historical promenade in Paris’s streets, engaging people in person — and not just on paper — is key to my work.

Educating: Taught media and French language at universities including Columbia University, NYU, American University of Paris, and Birkbeck College in London.

Guiding: Own and operate The Gay Locals, the first company in Paris to offer specialized LGBTQ+ tours (read about it in the NYTimes!).

Mentoring: Paired with students on thesis projects, led travel writing workshops in Paris, and mentor aspiring writers 1-on-1 to accomplish their goals.
